“Life is tough and sometimes in spite of our best efforts we are still overwhelmed.” We provide pastoral care by way of Care Groups which are an integral ministry of LICF. Some churches call it Cell Groups, House Groups or even Home Groups. We however, have purposely chosen to call ours Care Group. A place where you learn to grow and develop spiritually and in every area of your life.
Acts 2:46,47 says: “Day after day they met as a group in the temple, and they had their meals together in their homes, eating with glad and humble hearts. And every day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved” (GNB).
The Care Groups are run weekly and are usually held in homes. It is intended to be a source of ministry to the church and community. The aim of the Care Group is to disciple new believers, nurture believers and disciple future leaders in the Ministry.
The importance of the Care Groups is to help make friends and develop strong relationships. If you are shy in a large group meeting, a Care Group is small enough to make you feel comfortable, in order to take part in group discussions. You are encouraged to invite your family and friends. LICF’s Care Groups are a place for building people up to become all that God intended them to become.
Our emphasis is on pastoral care, evangelism, multiplication and discipleship. It is important that every LICF member belongs to a Care Group.
